At 1 1/2 hour from Santiago is located Valle Nevado, one of the most know sky centers in South America, on an elevation of about 10.000 feet, with 4 hotels, and some excellent restaurants. On the way up to Valle Nevado, you can visit two other resorts, Farellones and La Parva, both with fine accommodations.
